World AIDS Day Candlelight Vigil and Program
Monday, December 1, 2008, marks World AIDS Day, the international day of AIDS awareness and of remembrance of those we have lost to AIDS. 2008 also marks the 20th anniversary of the first World AIDS Day.
A Candlelight Vigil will begin at GMHC (Gay Men's Health Crisis, 119 West 24th St., between 6th & 7th Aves) at 6:00pm, ending in Judson Church's Meeting Room (enter at 55 Washington Square South). At 6:30, there will be a time of reflection and a reading of names of those we have lost to AIDS, followed by a World AIDS Day program at 7:00. Refreshments will be served following the program. NYBC will be there - join us! |
